A ComfyUI PNG can carry enough JSON to reconstruct the graph, including prompts, nodes, links, model names, seeds, and custom-node inputs. Inspect those PNG text chunks, remove the supported workflow data, and verify the cleaned copy entirely in your browser.

Step 1 · Local
Free browser processing
The browser removes supported PNG tEXt, zTXt, and iTXt entries such as prompt, workflow, parameters, and extra_pnginfo while copying the PNG image data without decoding or recompressing it.

Covered by the local tool
This page only handles file-level data the browser can safely inspect and remove, so ordinary metadata cleanup never triggers an upload or charge.
What happens locally
A focused cleaner, not a black box.
01
Prompt and workflow JSON
Remove supported prompt graphs, workflow nodes and links, model names, seeds, sampler values, and custom metadata stored in PNG text chunks.
02
PNG pixels stay encoded
The cleaner rebuilds the PNG container and preserves its IDAT image stream, dimensions, transparency, and color information.
03
Free and fully local
ComfyUI workflow removal needs no GPU or server. The selected image and workflow JSON stay in the current browser tab.
Important limit
This removes supported metadata embedded in the selected file. A copied workflow, sidecar JSON, gallery record, filename, visible prompt text, or proprietary custom-node payload stored elsewhere is outside the file cleanup.
Questions & boundaries
Know exactly what the clean copy means.
File formats are messy. These answers describe the supported behavior of this version—not a promise that every trace everywhere has disappeared.
01Which ComfyUI fields are removed?+
Supported PNG text entries include prompt, workflow, parameters, and related extra PNG information. Their JSON may contain nodes, links, prompts, models, seeds, and generation settings.
02Can the cleaned PNG still be opened as a workflow?+
The image can still be viewed, but ComfyUI should no longer be able to restore the graph from the supported workflow fields removed from that copy.
03Does this require cloud processing?+
No. Workflow data is file metadata, so inspection, removal, and verification happen locally and remain free.
