Midjourney export cleanup

Remove Midjourney Metadata

Midjourney downloads can vary by product version, download route, and later editing. Instead of assuming a fixed hidden tag, AI MetaClean inspects the actual JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, or HEIF file and removes the supported metadata it really contains.

Step 1 · Local

Free browser processing

The browser scans the selected export for supported EXIF, XMP, IPTC, comments, software and description fields, PNG text, and file-level provenance containers, then removes only the fields you select.

Covered by the local tool

This page only handles file-level data the browser can safely inspect and remove, so ordinary metadata cleanup never triggers an upload or charge.

What happens locally

A focused cleaner, not a black box.

01

Evidence from the file, not a platform guess

The report shows the structures and values actually present instead of claiming every Midjourney export carries a specific C2PA or watermark implementation.

02

Prompt-like and creator fields

Supported descriptions, comments, software names, XMP/IPTC records, and PNG text fields can be reviewed and removed locally.

03

No paid cloud step

This page is intentionally limited to file-level metadata that the browser can safely handle, so it does not ask you to upload for ordinary cleanup.

Important limit

Midjourney has no stable public export contract guaranteeing the same metadata in every file. A clean report means this version found no supported removable structures; it does not prove that no proprietary or pixel-level signal exists.

Questions & boundaries

Know exactly what the clean copy means.

File formats are messy. These answers describe the supported behavior of this version—not a promise that every trace everywhere has disappeared.

01Does every Midjourney image contain prompt metadata?

No. Metadata can differ by download route, format, version, and later editing. This tool reports the fields in the selected file rather than assuming they exist.

02Does cleanup recompress the image?

Original-mode JPG, PNG, and WebP cleanup preserves the encoded image content. HEIC/HEIF requires local conversion.

03Does the tool remove a proprietary Midjourney watermark?

This page removes supported file metadata only. It does not claim to detect or remove an unpublished pixel-level watermark.
