Instagram can use industry provenance signals, creator disclosure, and other systems when showing AI Info. This page cleans supported metadata from the exact image, Reel, Story, or cover file before upload. It cannot edit an existing Instagram post or guarantee that Meta will not apply a label.

Step 1 · Local
Free browser processing
Images are cleaned in batches and a self-contained MP4 or MOV can be remuxed one at a time. Supported C2PA, XMP, IPTC, EXIF, generator fields, and container metadata are removed locally without sending the media to AI MetaClean.

Covered by the local tool
This page only handles file-level data the browser can safely inspect and remove, so ordinary metadata cleanup never triggers an upload or charge.
What happens locally
A focused cleaner, not a black box.
01
Prepare the actual upload file
Clean the final image, Reel, Story, carousel item, or cover after its last edit so another export does not immediately add fresh metadata again.
02
Images and MP4/MOV
Use the same local workflow for supported image metadata or one self-contained MP4/MOV video without re-encoding its audio or video streams.
03
No label-evasion promise
The result only confirms supported file-level cleanup. Instagram may use disclosure, account context, classifiers, matching, or newly added signals outside the file.
Important limit
This is an upload-preparation and false-positive cleanup tool, not a way to edit or remove a label from an existing Instagram post. Meta can label content based on signals other than the metadata handled here.
Questions & boundaries
Know exactly what the clean copy means.
File formats are messy. These answers describe the supported behavior of this version—not a promise that every trace everywhere has disappeared.
01Will this remove AI Info from an existing Instagram post?+
No. The tool only creates a cleaned local copy before upload. It cannot modify a post or label stored in Instagram's systems.
02Which upload signals can be cleaned?+
Supported signals include image C2PA, EXIF, XMP, IPTC, PNG text, generator fields, and supported MP4/MOV container metadata. Pixel-level watermarks and platform records are separate.
03Does a clean file guarantee no Instagram label?+
No. It only means the current scan found no supported removable file metadata after cleanup. Instagram controls its own labeling systems and can use additional evidence.
